I’ve been training since I can remember. I started in gymnastics and figure skating. I figure skated for about 6 years until I tried out Taekwondo training with a friend of mine and I fell in love with that sport. I’ve been training taekwondo now for 10 years and I have won many contests here in Iceland. I started to lift weights when I was 16 years old and since then I’ve been hitting the gym couple of times a month but I was always so busy with Taekwondo trainings. I was training 2 times a day with the sparring team in my club and with the Icelandic national team.
I went through some tough times last year... at that time I was 47 kg and I could barely train Taekwondo anymore so my boyfriend dragged me to his gym Sporthouse in Reykjavik and made me lift weights... after a month of training 6 times a week and eating healthy I felt really good.. I looked way better than I did before.
In September last year a got myself a great personal trainer. Her name is Katrin Eva. She won her Figure class at the Arnold Classic 2009.
I’ve been lifting weights 6 times a week ever since. I also do Plyometrics once a week and I just started doing Taekwondo again.
From my friends and family. I want to make them proud.
I'm also always looking at photos of fitness models like Ingrid Romero, Nathalia Melo, Nicole Nagrani, Amanda Latona and Larissa Reis. I watch your videos all the time! There are two videos that are my favorite and I think I have watched them a million times!!
Taekwondo, TRX and Tabata. I cant do just one thing for an hour, like jogging, I hate jogging hehe, I have to feel some pressure.
When it comes to food I keep it really simple.
For example my protein pancake:
My diet is high in protein and low in carbs.
I eat chicken, fish, rice, fruits, vegetables, Skyr (Icelandic Yogurt, very low in carbs and high in protein), Egg whites, Protein shakes, Protein pancake, ricecakes with organic peanut butter and oatmeal. I also go everyday to a restaurant in Iceland called Nings. There I get healthy Asian food like Green tea noodles with chicken and vegetables.
I get one ''candyday'' a week. My candy day is every Saturday except 2 weeks before a fitness contest. On that day I eat healthy but I'm allowed to buy some candy. If I get cravings on a Wednesday it’s easier to know that the ''candyday'' isn’t far away:)
I want to count so many more exercises... I love them all!!:)
- I can’t train without my ipod. On my playlist right now I have a lot of dubstep:

Both but I focus more on the short-term goals. In competition my short term goal is to do good at the Arnold Europe in October in bikini class and my long term goal is to become the first Icelandic IFBB Pro. I have big dreams:) In life my long-term goal is to keep my self as healthy as I can. Both physically and mentally.
I am most proud of all my competition achievements. In Figure Skating, Taekwondo and Bikini fitness. I'm also very proud of how I pulled through after a hard childhood and teen years.
Only my asthma. It's hard not being able to finish my cardio workout if I get an asthma attack.
When I'm dieting I try to keep my weight the same. I don’t want to lose any weight. Only the fat. I also use the mirror but couple of weeks before a competition your mind can play tricks on you, you start to worry about tiny details and you stop seeing your progress in the mirror.. If that happens I get my trainer to measure my body fat.
Ingrid Romero is my all time favorite. She has a great physique and she is also such a good person. She has helped me a lot!! I also love Nathalia Melo, Amanda Latona, Larissa Reis and Nicole Nagrani.
I get all my supplements from a store in Reykjavik called Perform.is. I use BSN No Xplode before every weight training and BSN CellMass after. I Use BSN Dessert protein in my protein pancakes.
