CutAndJacked.com Interview:

Ashley Lemmons

How and when did you start training?

In January 2008, I bought and completed P90X. After not being physically active for about 2 years, this program kicked my butt into high gear. When I completed the program 3 months later, I immediately joined a gym, and haven't looked back.

In regards to weight training, can you give us an overview of a typical week?

Monday- Back, Tuesday-Shoulders, Wednesday- Legs, Thursday-Rest, Friday- Biceps, Saturday-Triceps, Sunday-Rest

How much and what types of cardio do you do?

During a typical week, I will do cardio 6 days/week. If I'm not prepping for a contest, I will alternate the treadmill and the elliptical. 3 days HIIT, and 3 days low intensity.

What are the contents of your fridge?

Grilled/Baked Chicken Breast, Veggies (Green Beans, Spinach, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes), Almond Milk, Skim Milk, Crystal Light, Laughing Cow Cheese, Salsa, Egg Whites, Occasional Fruit, Greek Yogurt, String Cheese

What is your favourite healthy food?

Pumpkin Oatmeal: 1/2 c. oats, 1/2 c. almond milk, 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed, 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, 1 tsp. splenda, 1 heaping tbsp. canned pumpkin

Favourite cheat food?

PIZZA & ICE CREAM!

Who are your favourite figure competitors,
or fitness models?

Jamie Eason, Ava Cowan, Erin Stern, Nicole Wilkins-Lee

What is your best body part?

Delts

…and your best body part in a man?

I love a sexy muscular BACK!

What is the number one philosophy you live by?

Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. You are in control. Do what makes YOU happy, set your goals high, and shoot for them with everything you have.

What 3 tips would you give to any woman wanting to get a feminine, CutAndJacked physique like yours?

  1. Write down your goals. Decide exactly what it is that you want. Seeing these goals on paper kicks your motivation up a notch.
  2. Work hard. Get to the gym, and give each training session 110%. Visualize your goal during every rep.
  3. Be Patient. Don't get discouraged if you're not seeing results in just 1 week. Keep your discipline, determination, and dedication levels high, and the results will come. Everyone would love to see results overnight, but then, the rewards wouldn't be as sweet.
